Shirt Skirt

Not a knitting project, but something I sewed, so I'm making it count.  Here's a skirt I made from old shirts cut into triangles and then sewn with the seams on the outside.  I arranged the colors so light and dark triangles make vertical zigzags.  For the hem I cut from the bottom of the shirts so I didn't have to make new ones, and I cut out extra fabric for the elastic waistband (that you can't see).  It was quite exciting to make but it used a lot of thread.  And I thought those spools never ran out...
